Port Strike Suspended: Workers Return as Negotiations Continue The port strike involving tens of thousands of dockworkers along the East and Gulf Coasts of the United States has been suspended following a tentative agreement on wages between the International Longshoremen’s Association and the U.S. Maritime Alliance. The deal includes a significant wage increase and extends the current contract until January 15, 2025, allowing time for further negotiations on outstanding issues. This agreement ends a three-day strike that had threatened to disrupt supply chains and the U.S. economy. « Previous Article Next Article » Share This Article Choose Your Platform: Facebook Twitter Google Plus Linkedin Related Posts Republic Bank Shuts Down; FDIC Coordinates $10 Billion Asset Transfer to Fulton Bank READ MORE Americans Prioritize Summer Fun Over Financial Health, Risking Long-Term Debt READ MORE Government Measures Aim to Strengthen Demand for ZiG in Zimbabwe READ MORE Gold Eases from Near-Record Highs as Middle East Tensions Simmer READ MORE Jerome Powell Expects Prolonged Rate Hold as Inflation Eases Slowly READ MORE Add a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
