Ancient 2,300-Year-Old Gold Ring Unearthed in Jerusalem Archaeologist Tehiya Gangate discovered a 2,300-year-old gold ring in Jerusalem while working at the Givati National Archaeology Park. The well-preserved ring, set with a red stone, likely belonged to a child from the Hellenistic period. The Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University noted that the ring, dating to around 300 BC, reflects the increased popularity of stone-set jewelry following Alexander the Great’s conquests. Gangate described the find as an emotionally significant and rare discovery. « Previous Article Next Article » Share This Article Choose Your Platform: Facebook Twitter Google Plus Linkedin Related Posts Gold vs. Silver [The 5 Differences That Matter Most to Investors] READ MORE African Nations Intensify Efforts Against Speculative Currency Trading READ MORE ECB Resists Market Pressure for Interest Rate Cuts READ MORE The REAL Reason Costco & Walmart Are Selling GOLD & SILVER READ MORE WGC: Is There a January Effect for Gold?
