Ancient 2,300-Year-Old Gold Ring Unearthed in Jerusalem Archaeologist Tehiya Gangate discovered a 2,300-year-old gold ring in Jerusalem while working at the Givati National Archaeology Park. The well-preserved ring, set with a red stone, likely belonged to a child from the Hellenistic period. The Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University noted that the ring, dating to around 300 BC, reflects the increased popularity of stone-set jewelry following Alexander the Great’s conquests. Gangate described the find as an emotionally significant and rare discovery. « Previous Article Next Article » Share This Article Choose Your Platform: Facebook Twitter Google Plus Linkedin Related Posts Fed Policymakers Suggest Three Cuts This Year READ MORE Copper Miners Face Earnings Squeeze Amid Falling Prices and High Costs READ MORE JP Morgan Gold Traders go to Jail, while JP Morgan exits DoJ ‘Sin Bin’ READ MORE Gold's Long-Term Strength Predicted to Persist READ MORE Silver Institute: World Silver Survey 2024 READ MORE Add a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
