Ancient 2,300-Year-Old Gold Ring Unearthed in Jerusalem Archaeologist Tehiya Gangate discovered a 2,300-year-old gold ring in Jerusalem while working at the Givati National Archaeology Park. The well-preserved ring, set with a red stone, likely belonged to a child from the Hellenistic period. The Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University noted that the ring, dating to around 300 BC, reflects the increased popularity of stone-set jewelry following Alexander the Great’s conquests. Gangate described the find as an emotionally significant and rare discovery. « Previous Article Next Article » Share This Article Choose Your Platform: Facebook Twitter Google Plus Linkedin Related Posts Multiple Factors Align for Gold's Continued Rally: Technical Analysis Points Higher READ MORE S&P 500 Breaks 5,000 Mark Amid Anticipation for Key Inflation Data READ MORE Economic Enigma: Why Rising Rates Haven't Sunk the US Economy READ MORE Silver Production Set to Grow 4.1% in 2024 with Operations Resuming READ MORE Markets on Edge: Continuing Coverage of Regional Banking Crisis READ MORE Add a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
